Sibba is born in 1980 and is from Gilsárteigur in Eiðaþingahá at Fljótsdalshérað.
As Sibba was raised on a farm, she has been around horses, virtually since birth. As a kid, her main interest lay in horses, an interest that sadly wasn’t shared by other members of her household, thus resulting in Sibba spending alot of time riding alone with the horses.
In the year 1994, Sibba competed on behalf of Freyfaxi at a national competition at Hella, in the teenager division. For this event she enjoyed the support of the people from Tjarnarland in Hérað. In result of this support, she later began working as an assistent trainer at Tjarnarland, during summertime. All in all she worked there for four summers.
After graduating from highschool, Sibba traveled to Denmark, where she trained horses for one summer. In the fall, the same year, she began her studies at the Agricultural university of Iceland, which she graduated from in the year 2003. Right after graduation she began another study, this time at Hólar. She graduated from Hólar as a horse trainer in the year 2005, after finishing her apprenticeship at Agnar Snorri Stefánsson, who that winter, had training facilities at Hof in Höfðastönd.
In the fall 2005, Sibba worked at Sauðárkrókur for Jóhann and Sólveig from Miðsitjuhestar, mainly with breaking in horses.
In the beginning of the year 2006, she moved to Hörgárdalur to train horses at Björg and Litla-Brekka.
Since september 2006, Sibba has worked as a professional horse trainer in Blönduós.
Sibba took a break from training from January 2008 til Mai 2008. During this time she went back to Hólar University and graduated as a riding instructer and trainer in the spring of 2008.
She began her training and taming duties at Blönduós in June 2008.
